Join us for a special screening of the award-winning documentary HOLLOWAY, followed by a live Q&A focused on mental health, trauma, and healing within the women’s prison system – a topic at the heart of our work supporting women affected by the criminal justice system.
“Six women return to the now abandoned Holloway Prison to take part in a women’s circle. Sharing some of the most intimate experiences of their lives, they each unravel what led them to prison, building an eye-opening portrait of failing systems and trauma, while discovering their extraordinary capacity to heal through sisterhood.”
Directed by BAFTA Breakthrough Brit Daisy-May Hudson and EMMY-nominated Sophie Compton, HOLLOWAY was created through a trauma-informed co-creative process with six contributors: Aliyah Ali, Mandy Ogunmokun, Sarah Cassidy, Lady Unchained, Gerrah, and Tamar Mujanay. The film won the Audience Award at the BFI London Film Festival and continues to spark urgent conversations across the country.
Following the screening, stay for a powerful discussion exploring the mental health challenges faced by women in prison and the work being done to support recovery, both inside and beyond the prison walls.
